Subject: Clean Energy Upgrade Financing Program Workshop on January 23
Helping Lenders Make Lower Cost Loans for Energy-Related Projects
The California Alternative Energy and Advanced Transportation Financing Authority (CAEATFA), a program administered by the California State Treasurer, is hosting an initial public workshop on January 23rd to discuss its existing statewide Clean Energy Upgrade Financing Program (“AB x1 14 Program”) and ways to improve this new program that helps lenders make lower cost loans to homeowners for energy efficiency and renewable generation projects. Through this program, CAEATFA is currently providing financial assistance in the form of a loan loss reserve to financial institutions making loans for home improvement energy-related projects.This workshop is the first step of the regular rulemaking/regulatory process (initial public comment period closes February 21, 2013). Interested parties are encouraged to participate in person or over the phone and are encouraged to submit written comments.
